Info

Формат: 3 Vinyl , LP, Album, Stereo Box Set. Страна: Hungary. This one here is no exception to the rule: the recording quality is very high to begin with, orchestra and singers perform very good as far as I can judge, missing the possibility to compare with others. Musically it's pretty close to Verdi, which comes as no surprise as Erkel lived in the 19th century. Hunyadi László László Hunyadi is an opera in three acts by the Hungarian composer Ferenc Erkel. The libretto, by Béni Egressy, is based on a play by Lőrinc Tóth. The opera was first performed at the Pesti Nemzeti Magyar Szinház, Budapest on 27 January 1844. Hunyadi László is considered to be the first important Hungarian opera and Erkel's musical style draws on folk influences, particularly the dance known as the verbunkos. It was one of the specialties of the countries behind the iron curtain to record their classical heritage to obtain money from export. Qualiton is one of those labels we find very frequently that made a very good impression with quality releases. This one here is no exception to the rule: the recording quality is very high to begin with, orchestra and singers perform very good as far as I can judge, missing the possibility to compare with others. Musically it's pretty close to Verdi, which comes as no surprise as Erkel lived in the 19th century. A rich stereophonic image, a sometimes folkloresque choir and above all great female vocals.
